New role for former Dromore Minister

A former minister of First Dromore Presbyterian Church, the Very Rev Dr Donald Patton, has been appointed the new Pastoral Assistant at Railway Street Presbyterian Church, Lisburn.
The Very Rev Dr Donald Patton (Former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland) is welcomed as the new Pastoral Assistant of Railway Street Presbyterian Church by the minister, the Rev Michael Davidson, on Sunday evening 21st February. Dr Patton comes with over 40 years experience in pastoral ministry having served as assistant at Trinity (Bangor) - 1974 to 1977 and then minister of First Dromore - February 1977 to September 1983; Greystone Road (Antrim) - September 1983 to May 1988; Lowe Memorial (Finaghy) - May 1988 to September 2002; and Old Congregation (Randalstown) - September 2002 to January 2015.

In addition, he was Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, 2008 to 2009.

Dr Patton and his wife Florence now live in Aghalee. They have four children - Julie, Philip, Andrew, Caroline and seven grandchildren.
