New season for Church of God

LAST Tuesday evening was another historic moment in the life of Ballymoney Church of God.

Over the past year there has certainly been a lot of activity on the new 2 acre site (formerly the Tyco factory), as contractors have demolished and cleared the land.

The work continues to move forward at a steady pace and the Congregation along with the Pastors and Church Board held a very special evening of thanksgiving in order to celebrate God's goodness and the wonderful progress made so far.

As a large crowd gathered to witness this special occasion;

Pastor Jonathan Payne shared of just how significant this moment of time was, for the Church Fellowship.

He thanked the dedicated teams of men and women who had worked so tirelessly and faithfully over the months on this substantial project.

Following the reading of Scripture, Pastor Jonathan invited Mr. James McCook (Church Elder) forward to pray a dedicatory prayer of blessing.

A short time of praise and worship then followed, led by Pastor Yvonne Payne

Pastor Taylor, the Senior Minister, on reflecting back over Fifty years of Church history, spoke of the goodness of God and of the wonderful achievements made throughout those glorious years.

However, he then went on to encourage everyone to look forward and embrace the future plan of God for the Church.

He commented how delighted he was to see young and old alike, from young children to members in their eighties, all gathered to witness this momentous occasion.

Finally, Pastor Taylor cut the ribbon that divided the existing Church complex with the new ground. The whole Congregation then walked together in a symbolic gesture of unity, clapping and singing as they crossed over into the new land.

The evening finished with Tea and Fellowship, with many commenting on how truly significant and blessed the night had been for the Church.

A brand new season has arrived for Ballymoney Church of God!
