New signing Moore scores as U13s move up to fifth

Carrick Rangers Colts U13s moved up to fifth in the NIBFA Subway National Youth League thanks to a 4-1 win over St Oliver Plunkett at the weekend.

The visitors took an early lead but Carrick hit back with Lewis Patterson netting the equaliser.

Keeper Aaron MacFarlane’s long kick set up Patterson for his second of the day and ten minutes before half-time new signing Jack Moore unleashed an unstoppable 20-yard strike which dipped just under the crossbar, giving the Plunkett keeper no chance.

U12s: Carrick Colts U12s defeated Lisburn Ladies 2-0 in the first round of the Shield Cup thanks to a Ryan Black double.

Black dribbled past three defenders to slot home the first before Conor Blair set him up for his second of the game.

U15s: Carrick Colts U15s defeated Oxford Sunnyside 5-1 in the Lisburn Invitational Youth League.

Nathan Adams found the top corner for the opener before Dylan Smylie added number two with a tap-in. Chris Swan netted number three from long-range before the break.

Oxford Sunnyside pulled one back early in the second half only for Adams to volley home to make it 4-1.

Josh Cowan provided the assist for Smylie to rounded the keeper and slot the ball home with the help of the post. Final score (5-1).
