New signs welcomed

Upper Bann Ulster Unionist Assembly Member George Savage said: “This road has been an accident blackspot for quite some time with cars leaving the road, and potentially breaking through the fence or hedge and ending up in a field.

"This is obviously seriously precarious for the driver in terms of the potential for serious injury but also a hefty insurance claim. It also poses a serious concern to local farmers who may have animals in the fields adjacent to the road.

“Having lobbied Roads Service extensively in relation to my concerns in this area, I am delighted that these signs have been installed. I would take this opportunity to remind drivers to be aware of the speed limits, obey road signs and above all, expect the unexpected.”
