New support worker for Women’s Aid in Larne

Women’s Aid in Larne has welcomed Caroline Skelton to the local team as a new floating support worker.

Caroline’s role will involve working with women who have experienced domestic abuse, providing emotional and practical support, such as court support, general housing and financial advice and linking with other services.

Women’s Aid, based at 75 Main Street, Larne is also going to be running new classes starting in August. These include OCN (level 1) Me, Myself & I, starting August 1 from 6.30pm - 8.30pm for eight weeks; Journey to Freedom, starting September 10 from 10.30am – 12.30pm for eight weeks and OCN (level 1) Living & Surviving Domestic Violence, starting October 17, 6.30pm – 8.30pm for six weeks.

The office in Main Street is open for drop in on Wednesdays from 3.30pm to 5.30pm and Fridays from 2pm to 4pm should anyone wish to find out more about Women’s Aid services.
