New survey to findout digital needs

Derry City Council Investment Officer Aeidin McCarter is encouraging local digital businesses to participate in a new survey to find out what they need and how the local authority can help them.

She explained: “A local company have been commissioned on behalf of Derry City Council to contact companies to find out about the digital aspects of their work, what digital tools they need to make their businesses better and how Council can help them make their businesses more efficient and digitally competent.”

Kevin O’Connor, Economic Development Manager with Derry City Council said: “The survey, when complete, will provide us with a clear description of local companies’ activities and the subsectors they are operating in.

“This will in turn provide us with the information necessary to shape this and future support programmes and also to crucially monitor success.”

It’s part of the Growing the Digital Economy Programme (GDEP) and is designed to contribute to the basis for the Growing the Digital Economy Strategy in the Derry City Council area.

Anyone with any queries about the survey is asked to contact Aeidin McCarter directly at [email protected].
