New town bus services for Ballymoney

Passengers in Ballymoney are set to benefit from enhanced town services from 1st September.

Following an overview of local services in the area and feedback from local stakeholders and the wider public, the 373a will operate from Ballymoney Rail Station via Carnany Court and Trinity Drive, 4 times a day, Monday-Friday. The 373b will operate to Balnamore from Ballymoney Rail Station via Lislagan Road and Bendooragh 4 times per day, Monday-Friday.

In a Facebook post, councillor Darryl Wilson welcomed the announcement of the new town bus service which will cover Ballymoney town, Balnamore and Bendooragh. Plus additional bus services for Balnamore and Ballymoney.

He said: “A new town service has been announced by Translink. The 373b will operate to Balnamore from Ballymoney Station via Lislagan Road and Bendooragh four times per day from Monday to Friday. The 373a will also operate from Ballymoney station via Carnany Court and Trinity Drive 4 times a day, Monday to Friday.

“This is positive news for Ballymoney and the surrounding areas. Elderly people and young families were heavily impacted by the loss of the ‘Logans bus’ a few years ago, this additional service will also be boost to trade in the town centre which was impacted by the removal of the old town service.”
