islandmagee NORTH - President Betty Beattie welcomed members to the birthday dinner held in Billy Andy’s restaurant, Larne on Tuesday, February 19.

After enjoying a delicious meal, the members were asked to judge the competition for a handmade napkin for Pennies for Friendship which was won by Liz Brown, with Jackie Mahood second. The ballot was won by Mavis Wylie.

Following a short business meeting the evening was brought to a close with the president wishing everyone a safe journey home.

GLENO - President Yvonne Howie welcomed Eileen Millar of Meadowflower Crafts and Sharon Millar to the February meeting.

Eileen brought kits and, helped by Eileen and Sharon, members made bracelets with such concentration it was the quietest WI meeting ever.

A lovely supper was served by Beverley Palmer–Hill, Rita McCullough, Anne Wright and Lynda Jackson.

The competition winner of an unusual ring was Pearl Henry, with Anne Mundell second. The ballot winner was Mabel Stewart.
