MOSSIDE Development Group are running a Day trip to Mountstewart House on Monday 16th May.

The bus will leave Mosside Community Centre at 10am and return at 5.30pm - stopping 1 hour in Newtownards.

Somme trip

BALNAMORE and District Community Association have organised a bus trip to The Somme Centre, Bangor on Saturday, May 7.

Bus will be leaving Balnamore at 10am. Cost is £5 per person. Please contact Stephen on 07928365474. Limited spaces available so please book early.

Examination

A Public Examination on the Northern Area Plan is to be held in the Ballymoney Town Hall Auditorium on 19th September 2011.

Interested parties are invited to an information evening on Tuesday 3rd May at 6.30pm. Arrangements will be made for further discussions with Council’s planning consultant.

The news was revealed during a recent Development Committee meeting.

Causeway Support

CAUSEWAY Cardiac Support Group is holding a bus trip on Saturday, June 18.

The bus will leave Coleraine Hospital at 10am and Ballymoney Fire Station at 10.30am. The trip is going to Lisburn City (shopping) and Dobbies Gardening World. A four-course meal at McLaughlin’s Corner will also be on the agenda. Price is £18 per person. Please book early as places are limited.

Meanwhile the meetings continue on the second Tuesday of every month at The Causeway Hospital, Coleraine in the Lecture Theatre from 7pm to 9pm.

On 10th May Karen McCollum will be guest speaker and the topic will be Hospital Pharmacy.

The group’s final meeting will be a bus trip in June whose destination will be announced.

Matters arising and any other business can also be addressed.

It will cost £1 to attend each meeting and refreshments will be served.

Fashion Show

BUSHMILLS Support Group for Marie Curie Cancer Care and Portballintrae Residents Association are joining forces to present a fashion show.

‘The Summer Season’ is being held at the Village Hall, Portballintrae, on Wednesday, May 11 at 7.30 p.m.

Fashions are being supplied by Therapy, Bushmills and Menary’s, Coleraine. Tickets cost £6 including refreshments and are available from members of either committee.

Proceeds will be divided equally between the two charities Marie Curie Cancer Care and Heartbeat who are rasing money for an MRI scanner for the Royal Victoria Hospital for sick children.
