Next meeting of Garvagh Historical Society meeting
THE first meeting of the season for Garvagh Historical Society will take place in the Community Building in Garvagh, on Thursday, September 23 at 8pm.
The speaker will be Venerable J M Patterson, Rector of Ballintoy and Rathlin and later Dunseverick from 1972 until his retirement in 2005.
His talk will describe some of his experiences during that time as he travelled once a month to Rathlin Island to minister there.
An interesting programme has been drawn up for the coming season with emphasis on local topics and a number of local speakers.
New members will be made welcome.
