Next staff remember colleague Gareth

Staff at local branches of Next raised £8,685 in memory of their colleague, 34 year old Gareth Foreman, who died from cancer in March this year.

The team made a donation of £4,585 to NI Hospice in recognition of the wonderful care Gareth received and the support given to his wife Bernadette and children Emma and Oliver.

The local Next store manager, Rosie Heatley, encouraged her colleagues in other branches to raise money for Hospice in memory of Gareth and the staff truly rose to the occasion.

Receiving the donation for NI Hospice, Ellen Hillen, Corporate Fundraising Manager said: “I was privileged to know Gareth when I managed Lisburn Square Shopping Complex and he was manager of Next, Lisburn branch.

“Now that I am working at NI Hospice I am delighted to have the opportunity to accept this very generous donation in Gareth’s memory.

“This money will be used to provide specialist palliative care to local people and will make a significant difference to many of our patients and their families, giving them the same care and support that Gareth and Bernadette received.”

The staff at Next stores wishes to thank their customers, family and friends for the great support given during their fundraising appeal.
