NI firm lands £1.5m contract with Canadian client

A Magherafelt-based company has landed a £1.5m contract to supply enhanced ‘curtain walling’ to a major client in Canada.

Windell Limited which is part of the Henry Group, is a leading supplier of high security glazing worldwide.

Managing director of Windell, Ian Henry said that they are “thrilled” to have been awarded the contract.

“This is the result of a lengthy design and tender process over the last two years and we are delighted to now be able to proceed to the design and manufacture stage on this project,” he explained.

“We very much look forward to working with our client to fulfil this contract.”

Mr Henry recently became President of the NI Chamber of Commerce.

He continued: “Windell has the knowledge and experience in glazing and protection solutions that enable us to deliver a unique, unrivalled service to our clients in the security sector.

“We are in the fortunate position, during this period of shutdown due to Covid 19, to have our in-house design team continuing their excellent work from home and this enables us to continue to deliver on key dates within the programme.”

The company, which draws on more than 30 years experience in the industry, has a diverse range of clients from government departments to private investors.

These include the PSNI, Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Royal Navy and Network Rail.
