NI growth hopes for McCue Crafted Fit

With an increase in overseas visitor figures and holiday visitors along with the many new hotels being built in Belfast, McCue Crafted Fit is hoping for opportunities as a local fit out company to be working at home as well outside of the province.

McCue’s work in 2016 in Northern Ireland has so far included the refit of Asian restaurant, Zen The Duck House, formerly known as Hakka Noodle; Progressive Building Society, Belfast; Pizza Express, Ballyhackamore; Smyths Toys, Newtownabbey, and a section of the illustrious SS Nomadic, Belfast.

Les McCracken, managing director at McCue Crafted Fit explained: “Northern Ireland, especially Belfast, is currently experiencing a bit of a resurgence in terms of the hospitality and property sectors , which is fantastic to see.

“Following recent acquisitions in the property and hospitality sectors in the region, including the City Quays projects and 20-plus hotels now at various stages of development in the city and the redevelopment of accommodation blocks, office spaces and student accommodation, Belfast is becoming a more exciting place.

“Over the water, our work in the Greater London area has gone from strength to strength, however, it is clear that the sector is picking up in Northern Ireland and we are seeing an increase in fit out tender opportunities here in Belfast.”

McCue has also completed the fit out of The Perch Rooftop Bar in Belfast’s Linen Quarter, Arthur Cox in Victoria House in Belfast.

The company has also been involved with the redevelopment of the Ulster Hospital, Dundonald.
