Nicholl praise for Seven Towers Pipers
THE recent attainment of the All Ireland Champion title by Seven Towers Pipe Band has been lauded in the Council chamber by Cllr Tommy Nicholl as a tremendous boost for the borough.
Speaking out at last Monday night’s monthly meeting of the local authority, Mr Nicholl asked that a letter of congratulations be sent by Council to the band on their achievement in what he described as “one of the most important competitions in the pipe band calendar”.
“It’s nice that a Ballymena outfit with a number of young people within its ranks could go that distance and bring home the championship to Ballymena. - The Seven Towers are now All-Ireland Champions,” he said.
