The work is part of the overall Knockmore to Lurgan Track Ballast Rehabilitation project.

The work will create a temporary storage facility for materials and plant to be used as part of the project and serve as an access point to the railway.

For night-time working, plant, machinery and personnel will access the tracks from this location, 11pm-6am, Sunday to Friday.

In addition to this, materials will occasionally be delivered to the site between 8am and 4.30pm during Monday to Friday.

The works form part of the overall Knockmore to Lurgan Track Ballast Rehabilitation Project which has been ongoing since September 2015 and includes the replacement of a number of sleepers, demolition of the redundant platform at the Maze Railway Halt, the refurbishment of Moira Level Crossing and improvements to track drainage in a limited number of areas along the route between Knockmore and Lurgan. The works will ensure the safety of the rail network is maintained.

No disruption is expected to passengers however Translink has warned that some weekend closures may be required later in the project.
