NIO chief’s £10k bill
NIO boss Hilary Jackson ran up over £10k in business expenses in the last three months of 2010 alone.
The Director General of the Northern Ireland Office ran up an expenses bill of £6,017.84 travelling to an investment conference hosted by US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton and attended by First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness in Washington DC in October.
Ms Jackson also claimed £374 for use of a car pool in Belfast; £79.40 for taxis that were not pre-booked; and £1.20 for a non-specified expense. The rest was run up on buses, trains, taxis and cars travelling to and from the NIO’s Belfast office.
Her total expense bill between October and December 2010 was £10,121.58. She is paid £125k-£130k.
