Jamie Wilson, from Hillhead Close in the town, pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared before the local court last week.

The incident occurred on 29 April and District Judge Mr Copeland said it was “rather juvenile conduct” for someone of that age.

A solicitor said Wilson was not aware that he required insurance for the mini-motorbike.

He was also told to pay an offender’s levy of £15 and warned that if the fine is not paid within 10 weeks, he could face seven days in prison.
