No insurance man fined

Andrew Kwok Wan Lee (38), Toberhewny Hall, Lurgan, also received six penalty points and was ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

The court heard he was stopped while driving on Pollock Drive. The policy of insurance had been cancelled on July 16.

Mr Conor Downey, representing the defendant, said Lee obtained insurance shortly after he was detected.

He added that the defendant’s employment ceased and he could not keep up with the payments.

A letter had been sent out from the insurance company but Lee said he did not receive its, said Mr Downey.
