No 'L' plates displayed

A BALLYMONEY woman has been fined and had points endorsed on her driving licence for driving without displaying 'L' plates.

Victoria Louise Fynes (20) of Myrtle Park pleaded guilty by letter to the offence and was dealt with by North Antrim Magistrates Court on Friday.

A prosecutor told the court Fynes was stopped by police in January of last year on the Garryduff Road.

She was asked to produce her driving licence at the scene which she was unable to do.

When she attended the local police station as instructed it was discovered she only had a provisional licence.

She was subsequently charged with driving while not displaying ‘L’ plates.

District Judge Richard Wilson fined Fynes - who works as a carer - 50 and endorsed her licence with three points.
