No permanent bed for mum at home

CONCERNS have been raised over the future of residential homes in Carrick Borough after a local woman was denied a permanent space at the Northern Trust’s Joymount House.

Joe McNeice and his wife sought a permanent bed at Joymount for her mother Margaret Cunning after the latter’s health began to deteriorate this year.

However, the Trust informed the couple that there was no statutory space available at the facility for the foreseeable future.
