No publichealth issue with fallen wall
An officer from the Environmental Health Department of Derry City and Strabane District Council has visited the site of a retaining wall that collapsed during heavy rainfall in The Moor nearly five years ago and said there are no public health concerns.
Last week the Sentinel reported how Marlborough Terrace resident, Marion Mullan, was fearful for the health and safety of her grandchildren due to issues with drainage and vermin. But a Council spokesperson said that while they didn’t receive any formal complaints regarding the issue, an officer visited the site today following receipt of the press query to investigate the matter and reported there was no public health concerns.
