No to 'Aires de Service

The Council’s Head of Tourism & Leisure Services, Kevin McGarry, said correspondence had been received from Castlereagh Borough Council to ask the Council to consider the introduction of an ‘Aires de Service’ provision within Moyle District.

He informed members that ‘Aires de Service’ was a place where touring caravan and motor home visitors can get water and empty their septic tanks.

He stated that there was no funding provision in the rates estimates for this project and after discussion, it was agreed that Council would continue to provide touring facilities at their existing caravan parks and could not consider providing Aires de Service.
