This was made possible thanks to the introduction of a new swimming pool programme in February 2015.

For the past three years the waiting list for children’s group swimming lessons was on average 11 months and prior to this, 24 months.

It is estimated that there will be approximately 20-30 new places available for beginners, plus a limited number of places for intermediate swimmers, in the next 10 week block of children’s group swimming lessons which will commence on Monday 8 February with lessons running daily from Monday to Saturday with the exception of Thursday.

Children aged five years of age on or before the week commencing Monday 8 February can be booked onto the next session of group swimming lessons at an enrolment evening taking place at Banbridge Leisure Centre on Wednesday 27 January from 6pm. New places will be allocated on a “first come, first served” basis. The cost of a 10 week programme is £52.20 per child and full payment must be made at time of registration.

Children already participating in the group swimming programme will have their new lesson day and time confirmed in writing in the usual manner before Monday 8 February 2016. Further information is available from Banbridge Leisure Centre, T: 028 4062 8800.
