Non parade traffic should avoid Coagh and Castledawson

The PSNI is warning motorists to avoid Coagh and Castledawson tomorrow as both villages will be closed to through traffic owing to Twelfth of July demonstrations.

A police spokesperson said: “Congestion is expected within the general Coagh area. Non parade traffic is asked to avoid Coagh village. The parade route is from the Bridgend Roadside of the village along the Main Street to a field on the Drumcovis Road side of the village.

“It is expected the village will be closed to through traffic from 11.00 hrs – 17.45 hrs.

Motorists are asked to respect areas identified for disabled parking.”

He said congestion was also expected within the general Castledawson area.

Non parade traffic should avoid the village. Motorists travelling along the A6 should leave additional time for their journey as traffic is expected to be slow moving on this route. Motorists are asked to respect areas identified for Disabled Parking.
