North Antrim Young Democrats hold AGM

North Antrim Young Democrats recently held their first AGM since the group was formed just over a year ago.

Guest speaker at the meeting was newly elected MLA Phillip Logan, who is himself a member of the group.

He thanked the Young Democrats for the important part they played in the campaign for each of the DUP candidates which resulted in the party being returned once again as by far the largest in the constituency. Mr Logan also spoke about how he is settling in to his new role at Stormont and how he plans to deliver the high standard of representation that people expect. Election of officers for the coming year was held, with Rasharkin man Mark Millar becoming the new chairman.

The evening concluded with a screening of “Brexit: The Movie” which left members in no doubt of the importance of voting “Leave” in the referendum on 23rd June. The Young Democrats will be campaigning on this over the coming weeks.
