North Irish Horse talk at Carrickfergus Town Hall

A public lecture on the North Irish Horse will be held in Carrickfergus Town Hall on Thursday, January 28 at 7.30pm.

The lecture will be given by military historian Richard Doherty, author of the official history of the North Irish Horse ‘A Hundred Years Service.’

It will be presented as a prelude to the conferment of the Freedom of the Borough by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council to the B (North Irish Horse) Squadron, The Scottish and North Irish Yeomanry.

Richard will give an insight into how the North Irish Horse, a small cavalry reserve regiment played a prominent part in both World War I and World War II.
