North West tops jobless league
THE North West still has the highest percentage rate of unemployment in Northern Ireland, the largest figures reveal.
6.9 per cent of the working age population in the Strabane and Derry City Council areas are claiming Jobseeker's Allowance.
The North West has topped the unemployment tables since the economic crisis began.
Limavady comes third, with 6.6 per cent out of a job.
A total of 54,000 people across Northern Ireland are now out of work.
