North-West Transport Hub consultation now open

Translink has launched a public consultation to develop proposals for the North-West Transport Hub in Londonderry.

Proposals include restoration and refurbishment of the former listed Waterside Railway Station, new platforms, an enhanced Park&Ride, an Active and Sustainable Travel Centre, demolition of the current train station, a new bus turning circle, Greenway link to the City Centre via the Peace Bridge as well as track, signalling and Telecoms work.

Chris Conway, Translink Group chief executive Chris Conway said: “We want to involve local people in the development of our Hub proposals and look forward to receiving feedback from all our stakeholders including passengers, local residents, community groups and elected representatives”

Thursday, December 15 2016, 12.30pm – 7.30pm, St Columb’s Park House, 4 Limavady Road.

Friday, December 16, 12.30pm – 2.30pm, Foyle Street Bus Station.

Consultation feedback can be provided too online at www.translink.co.uk/northwesthub/ or by picking up a leaflet featuring the consultation survey (available from Foyle Street Bus Station, Londonderry Train Station, Coleraine Bus & Rail Centre as well as Great Victoria Street Station and Europa Buscentre in Belfast);

Consultation is open until Friday, January 20 2017.
