Not insured for friend's car
A LURGAN man who used his friend's car was not insured to drive it, Craigavon court heard last Thursday.
Twenty-one-year-old Liam Magill, Rectory Park, Lurgan, was fined 100 and given six penalty points for the offence on April 5.
The offences came to light when he was stopped at a checkpoint in High Street, Lurgan.
A solicitor for Magill said his own car had broken down and a friend had allowed him to use his vehicle.
He explained that the defendant had insurance but was not covered to drive other vehicles.
