NRC urges public to be vigilant following break-ins at campus

Northern Regional College has urged members of the Coleraine community to be vigilant, following several break-ins at its campus in the town over the past number of weeks.

Local residents are requested to alert the PSNI immediately to any “suspicious activity” around the Northern Regional College’s existing Union Street campus and, its temporary campus at the former St Joseph’s site on Beresford Avenue, where the College will relocate during the development of its new state-of-the-art campus.

Mel Higgins, Chief Operating Officer at Northern Regional College, commented: “The knock-on effect of such activity is both costly to the public purse and destructive to the day-to-day delivery of the College curriculum – particularly at a time when we are doing everything in our power to enable students to complete their studies amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.” To report a crime to the PSNI in a non-emergency, please call 101.
