Nursery manager take giant leap for hospice

Commenting on the fundraising challenge, Aaron said: “It was unanimously agreed by both parents and staff that we wanted to do something to support the children’s hospice. The hospice is on our doorstep here in Glengormley and it’s the only dedicated palliative care service in the province, so we’re delighted to support it any way we can.

“I would like to thank everyone who supported our fundraising efforts and hope that this amount will help make a difference.”

Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice community fundraiser, Catherine O’Hara commented: “On behalf of everyone at Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, I would like to sincerely thank Aaron, his staff and parents for supporting our charity and raising such a fabulous amount of money.

“The services we provide for life-limited children and young people in the both the children’s hospice and out in the community relies on the support and generosity of our local community.”

Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice is a local charity caring for children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses. All money raised will go towards providing the best care possible for local children, young people and their families. It costs £503 to provide for the full care of a child for 24 hours and £102 for one overnight nurse at home. With over £2.5 million to raise every year, all donations, large and small are much needed at NI Children’s Hospice.”
