NW200 painting to be auctioned for Action Cancer

A painting specially commissioned for this year's North West 200 by local artist and event sponsor Martin Bradley and signed by all the top riders is to be auctioned to help raise funds for Action Cancer.

Simply called North West 200, the large painting is in the fun, contemporary signature Bradley style and shows two bike fans heading off to the huge sporting festival on their bike.

All riders who reach the podium this year will also for the first time be presented with a limited edition Martin Bradley print.

Said Martin Bradley: “Bradley Art Gallery is proud to be sponsoring the North West 200 this year and also to help commemorate the event with a specially commissioned painting, which we hope will help raise a lot of money for this year’s nominated charity Action Cancer.”

Action Cancer’s Corporate Fund-raising Officer, Kerry McCrea said: “We are absolutely delighted that Martin has decided to support us through this really special painting which I am sure the crowds at the North West will just be dying to get their hands on.

“We are hoping to raise 20,000 during the event for our Action Men Campaign and hope that the painting will contribute towards helping us to reach that goal.”

Laura McManus, Business Development and Operations Manager for the NW 200 said: ‘’It is a great privilege that Martin has very kindly donated so much of his stunning work to be presented to our winners at the NW200, and it will be such a special feature to have on the podium at this year’s event and I am sure our riders will be wonderfully surprised at the addition to their usual trophies and champagne!’’
