NW200 tree and plaque at Robert Dunlop’s Memormial Garden

THE Clerk of the NW200 Course, Mr Mervyn Whyte, has offered, on behalf of the club, to plant a tree in Robert Dunlop’s Memorial Garden together with a plaque.

During a recent Leisure and Amenities Committee meeting, members agreed in principle to the offer subject to further exploration and discussion.

The report explained: ‘Mr M Whyte (NW200) has offered, on behalf of the club, to plant a tree in the memorial garden together with a plaque at no cost to the Council.’

The Director of Borough Services advised the need to explore the site for suitability and agree the wording on the plaque.
