A statement from the club said that it had ‘lost one of its legends’. James is survived by his wife Margaret, and son Paddy.

A service of thanksgiving is to be held at noon on Wednesday in St John’s Parish Church, Moira, with donations going to N.I. Chest Heart and Stroke Association, c/o Malcomsons Funeral Service.
