Deaths in the community

The death took place peacefully at hospital on June 20 of Gertrude (Gertie) Thompson, late of High Street, Lurgan.

She was the daughter of the late Thomas John and Annie Thompson and sister of the late Molly, Sadie and Tommy.

Her funeral service was on Friday in High Street Methodist Church with interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Isobel Dowey

Isobel Dowey, late of Hannon Drive, Lurgan, died peacefully at Aughnacloy House on June 20.

She was the wife of the late Thomas and mother of James, Edna and Thomas.

Her funeral service was held in Malcomson’s Funeral Home on Saturday followed by burial in Lurgan Cemetery.

Eileen Creaney

Eileen Creaney, nee Murray, died peacefully at Lisniskey Nursing Home on June 21.

She was the wife of the late John and mother of John.

Her funeral was from her home, 1 Lurgan Road, Aghagallon, on Sunday to St Patrick’s Church, Aghagallon, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Reginald Arthur Penn

The death took place on June 21 at Craigavon Area Hospital of Reginald Arthur (Reg) Penn, son of Nancy and the late Reginald, 9 Milltown Road, Donaghcloney.

He was the brother of Stewart, Connor and Callum and brother-in-law John.

His funeral service was on Tuesday in Roselawn Crematorium.

Daniel Robert Lennon

The death took place suddenly on June 21 of Daniel Robert Lennon, son of Gary and Karen and brother of Stuart, Graeme, Zoe and Joel.

His funeral service was on Saturday in the Lurgan Salvation Army Citadel followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Rachel Hamill

Rachel Hamill, nee Heaney, died peacefully on June 22 at Craigavon Area Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Edward, 51 Francis Street, Lurgan, and the mother of Maureen, Eileen, David, Anita, Roisin and the late Eamon and Sean.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary-Rose Heaney and sister of Oliver and Bernadette and the late Eileen, Mary-Rose, Joe, Sheila, Charles, Aideen, Kathleen and Leonard.

Her funeral was on Sunday to St Paul’s Church with interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

David McAdam

The death took place suddenly on June 22 of David McAdam.

He was the son of Harold and Louise, 52 Demesne Avenue, Lurgan, and brother of Daniel.

His funeral was on Monday to High Street Methodist Church followed by interment in Kernan Cemetery.

Paddy Withers

Paddy Withers died peacefully on June 23 at Hamilton House, Armagh.

He was the father of Tracey and son of the late Patrick and Cissie Withers, formerly of Hawthorne Avenue, Lurgan.

He was the brother of Frank, Harry, Geoffrey, Noel, Pearse, Tina, Mary and the late Irene.

His funeral was on Monday to St Peter’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Trevor Hobson

The death took place suddenly on June 23 of Trevor Hobson, late of Donard Gardens, Lurgan.

He was the father of Stephen, Jessica and Gabrielle.

His funeral was private.
