Deaths in the community

The death has taken place of Augustus (Gus) Roycroft on June 8 while on holiday in Malta.

Mr Roycroft was a former minister of Worldwide Church of God, Craigavon.

Mr Roycroft of Ravenhill Gardens, Belfast was the husband of Norah and father of Peter and Judith and father-in-law of Barbara.

Carmel Breen

Carmel Breen died at her home in Derryloiste Road, Derrytrasna on June 16.

She was the wife of Gregory Breen and mother of Jessica, Declan and Erin, daughter of Erin and the late John Charles Mackle and sister of Pamela, Gerard and the late Lucia.

Her funeral was from her home to St Mary’s Church, Derrytrasna with burial after in the adjoining cemetery.

Benedict Creaney

The death took place suddenly on June 16 of Benedict (Benny) Creaney.

Benny was the son of the late Jimmy and Sarah Creaney, Church Walk, Lurgan and brother of John, Jim, Brendan and the late Gerald and David.

His funeral was on Tuesday from his brother Jim’s home at Church Walk to St Peter’s Church for Requiem Mass followed by interment in St Coleman’s Cemetery.

Gerry Marley

Gerry Marley died peacefully on June 17 at the Royal Victoria Hospital.

He was the father of Edel, Brona and Claire, brother of Marie, Ann, Dympna and the late Harry and Rita, father-in-law to John and Feargal and grandfather of Niall, James, Matthew, Oliver and Cara.

His funeral was on Tuesday from his daughter Claire Magee’s home at Solitude Demesne, Lurgan to St Peter’s Church followed by a private cremation.

Shirley Henderson

The death has taken place peacefully on June 17 of Shirley Henderson at Sandringham Nursing Home.

Shirley was the wife of Ian and mother of Laura and David from Newforge Road, Magheralin and daughter of Annie and the late Billy Hanna and sister of the late Roy Hanna, June and David Noon and Heather and Brian Huddleston.

Her funeral was in First Lurgan Presbyterian Church on Tuesday followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Ivy Abraham

The death has taken place on June 18 of Ivy Abraham peacefully at hospital.

She was the wife of Harrison and mother of Richard, Anne, David and Trevor.

Her funeral was from her home at Bannfoot Road, Lurgan to Ardmore Parish Church followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.

Dennis Creaney

The death has taken place of Dennis Creaney peacefully at his home at Glenavon Lane, Lurgan on June 18 .

Dennis was father of Dean and the late Leigh and grandfather of Courtney and brother of Tom, Ann, Irene and Jocelyn.

His funeral was at his home followed by burial at Lurgan Cemetery.

Cathal (Freddie) Magill

The death has taken place of Cathal (Freddie) Magill from Moira. Mr Magill died on June 8 following a short illness.

Sadly missed by his beloved wife Margaret and sons Paul, Sean and Greg.
