Deaths in the community

Rory Breen

The death has taken place of Rory Breen on June 5, suddenly and peacefully at his home in Ardmore Road, Derryadd.

He is mourned by his wife Marian, children Michael, Francis, Mark and Marian, brother Cathal, sister Greta and daughters-in-law Lynsey and Christine.

Patrick (Patsy) Haughey

Patsy Haughey of Deeny Drive, Lurgan, died peacefully at home on June 6.

Mr Haughey was the husband of the late Emma and father of Michael, Stephen, Noreen, Mel, Kevin and Jacqueline.

His funeral was on Saturday from his home to St Peter’s Church for Requiem Mass. Interment was in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Betty McCaffrey

The death took place on June 5 of Betty McCaffrey of Miller Park, Lawrencetown.

She was the wife of the late Tony and mother of Thomas, Vincent and Lindsay.

Her funeral was on Friday from her home to St Colman’s Church for Requiem Mass with burial in the adjoining graveyard.

Thomas James (Jim) Woods

The death has taken place on June 6 of Jim Woods, suddenly at his home on Bleary Road, Portadown.

Mr Woods was the husband of the late Betty and father of Shirley, Geoffrey, Stephen and Wendy.

He is also the father-in-law of Colin, Joan, Anne and Brian and grandfather of Stuart, Rebecca, Johnathan, Jessica, Laura, Emma, Rachel, Jamie and Ben.

His funeral was from his home on Friday for service in Knocknamuckley Parish Church followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Agnes Campbell

The death has taken place peacefully on June 7 at Lough Neagh Nursing Home in Maghery of Agnes Campbell, wife of the late Jaochim Campbell.

Mrs Campbell formerly of Oakleigh Fold in Lurgan is the mother of Jarlath, Paul, Martin, John and Anna.

Her funeral was on Sunday from her son Jarlath’s home at Furlong Avenue, Woodville to St Peter’s Church, Lurgan, with burial afterward in St Coleman’s Cemetery.

Marie Mallon

The death has taken place suddenly on June 8 of Marie Mallon of Drumnamoe Gardens, Lurgan.

She is the mother of Ashlene and Lisa and sister of Bridget, Jean, Arthur, Dermot and the late Patrick.

Her funeral was on Monday from her late home to St Peter’s Church with burial afterward in St Coleman’s Cemetery.

Peter Corey

The death has taken place of Peter Corey, of 32 Knockramer, Lurgan on May 22 at hospital.

Mr Corey is the husband of Marguerite and the son of the late Joseph and Annie Corey..
