Deaths in the community

The death took place of William McMahon on May 1 at his home in Ardboe Drive, Lurgan.

He is mourned by his wife Jean and children Helen, Gary, Beverley and Wilson.

He is also remembered by his daughters-in-law Anne and Debbie and sons-in-law Andrew and Mark and grandchildren Darren, Paula, Andrew, Rachel, Linzi and the entire family circle.

The funeral service was in Malcolmson’s Funeral Home with interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Lee Kevin Wharton

The death took place on May 2 of Lee Kevin Wharton of Clanrolla Park, Craigavon.

He was the son of Stephen and Drusilla and brother of Paul.

His funeral was on Saturday from his home to Roselawn Crematorium.

Vera Coleman

The death has taken place of Vera Coleman at Craigavon Hospital on May 5.

Mrs Coleman of Francis Street, was married to Frank.

Her funeral was on Tuesday to St Paul’s Church with interment afterward in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Derrymacash.

She is mourned by her husband, brothers and sisters and family circle.

Shaye McGurgan

The death took place suddenly of Shaye McGurgan at home on May 6.

Mr McGurgan was the son of Claire and Sean and dear brother of Sean, Kathleen, Chris, Mandy and the late Leo.

His funeral was from his home at Drumbeg North to St Anthony’s Church, Craigavon with burial after in St John’s cemetery, Lylo.

Frederick Allen (Fred) Hanna

The death took place on May 4 of Fred Hanna.

He is the husband of Meta and father of Carol and Brian (late of Demesne Avenue, Lurgan).

Interment was in Waringstown Presbyterian Burying Ground.

He is mourned by his wife, daughter, son, son-in-law David, daughter-in-law Glenis, grandchildren Peter and wife Jane, Kate and husband Matt, Rebecca and James, brother Joe and family circle.

David Andrew Preece

The death took place of David Preece, aged 15 on May 5.

He is survived by his father Michael, his mother Diane, twin sister Amy and wider family circle.

A Service of Thanksgiving for David’s life took place at St Patrick’s Parish Church, Donaghcloney, on Tuesday before burial at Blackskull Methodist Church burial ground.
