Deaths in the community for the period March 3 to 5, 2010

The death took place peacefully at hospital on March 3 of Alexander (Alec) Dougan, late of Lime Grove, Lurgan.

He was the brother of Jean, Eva, Billy and the late Thomas, Wilfred and Mary.

His funeral was on Saturday to Lurgan Free Presbyterian Church followed by interment in Ardmore Parish Churchyard.

Rebecca McKeown

The death took place peacefully at home on March 4 of Rebecca (Ruby) McKeown, Ballinderry Road, Aghalee.

She was the wife of Freddie and mother of Alan.

Her funeral was on Saturday to Aghalee Parish Church followed by interment in Aghagallon Old Churchyard.

Anne Hodge

The death took place peacefully on March 4 of Anne Hodge, Woodhall, Moira.

She was the daughter of Sam and Rita Hodge.

House and funeral were strictly private.

Mabel Copeland

The death took place peacefully at home on March 6 of Mabel Copeland, 39 Irwin Place, Donaghcloney.

She was the wife of the late Dick and mother of Dessie.

Her funeral was on Monday to Donaghcloney Methodist Church followed by interment in Blackskull Methodist Burying Ground.

Seamus Magennis

The death took place peacefully at home on March 6 of Seamus (William James) Magennis, 7 Dunbarton Bungalows, Gilford.

He was the husband of the late Amelia and father of Martin, Donna, Gordon, Margaret, John, Jim, Aidan, Kevin and Joanne.

His funeral was on Tuesday to St John's Church, Gilford, followed by interment in St Colman's Cemetery, Laurencetown.

Eileen Cecily Semple

The death took place suddenly at home on March 5 of Eileen Cecily Semple, Glenavy Road, Moira.

She was the wife of the late Austen and mother of Catherine.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to Aghalee Parish Church followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.
