Deaths in the local community

The death took place suddenly on January 21 of David John Wilson, late of Clonmeen, Craigavon.

He was the son of Olive and the late William and brother of Gary, Carol, Deborah, Sandra and Tina.

His funeral was on Friday in Malcomson’s Funeral Home followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Esther Smith

On January 22, the death took place peacefully at hospital of Esther Smith, late of Thornhill Park, Lurgan.

She was the wife of the late Sandy and the mother of 
Anne and Sandra.

Sarah Johnston (nee McCann)

Sarah Johnston died peacefully at hospital on January 25.

She was late of Castle Gardens, Moira and was the sister of Eileen, Margaret, Angela and the late Patrick.

Her funeral was from her sister’s residence at Kilmore Road on Tuesday to Ss Patrick and Ronan’s Church, Magheralin. She was buried afterwards at St Colman’s Cemetery, 
Kilwarlin.

Jack McCann

The death took place peacefully at home of Jack McCann on January 25.

He was the husband of Patricia of Dromore Road, Lurgan.

He was the father of Orlagh and Eimear and brother of Mary, Seamus, Vincent, Dermot, Betty and Angela.

His funeral was on 
Monday to Ss Patrick and Ronan’s Church, Magheralin followed by interment at St Michael’s Cemetery, Finnis, Dromara.

Joseph Richard (Dick) Ross

On January 26, Joseph Richard (Dick) Ross of Greenhill Park in Lurgan died peacefully at his home.

He was the husband of Betty and father of Sharon and Dorothy.

His funeral service was in Malcomson’s Funeral Home on Tuesday followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Gabriel (Gabby) Headley

The death took place on January 27 of Gabriel (Gabby) Headley, late of Springwell Gardens, Taghnevan.

He was the husband of Maura and father of Jerry, Finbar, Warren and the 
late Stirling.

His funeral is today (Thursday) to St Paul’s Church for 12noon Requiem Mass.

He will be buried in St Colman’s Cemetery.
