Deaths in the local community for the period February 24-28, 2010

The death took place peacefully at hospital of Gladys Ellis, formerly of Templar Court, Lurgan.

She was the wife of the late Victor and mother of Gary.

Her funeral was on Thursday to Shankill Parish Church followed by interment in Seagoe Parish Church.

John Edward Catney

The death took place suddenly of John Edward (Eddie) Catney, 16 Wellington Street, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Angela and father of Bernadette and Eleanor.

His funeral was on Thursday to St Peter's Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman's Cemetery.

Edmund Tallon

The death took place suddenly at home on February 24 of Edmund Tallon, son of Patrick and Ellen, 5 Moytown Road, Aghagallon.

He was the brother of Maisie, Patsy, Millie, Charlie, Bridie, John, Brenda and the late Patricia.

His funeral was on Friday to St Patrick's Church followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Anna Harte

The death took place peacefully at home on February 25 of Anna Harte (nee McQuillan), Aghacommon, Lurgan.

She was the wife of Donald (Dooley) and mother of Rebecca, Gary, Beth, Amy and Ciaran.

She was the daughter of Una and the late Patsy McQuillan and sister of Paul, Maria and Eoin.

Her funeral was on Saturday to St Patrick's Church followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Joe Lyness

The death took place peacefully on February 24 at Aughnacloy House of Joe Lyness, son of the late Joe and Mary, 2 Cypress Gardens, Lurgan.

He was the brother of Gerald, Jim and the late Maura and Jack.

His funeral was on Saturday to St Paul's Church followed by interment in St Colman's Cemetery.

Eva O'Hare

The death took place peacefully on February 25 at Aughnacloy House of Eva O'Hare, wife of the late Thomas, 34 Wellington Street, Lurgan.

She was the mother of Maurice.

Her funeral was on Sunday to St Peter's Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman's Cemetery.

Thomas Gerard Henderson

The death took place peacefully on February 26 at Craigavon Area Hospital of Thomas Gerard (Tommy) Henderson, husband of the late Annie, 49 Castor Bay Road, Lurgan.

He was the father of Teresa, Kevin, Nuala, Ethna, Joseph and Damian.

His funeral was on Monday to St Peter's Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman's Cemetery.

Margaret Gardiner

The death took place at hospital on February 26 of Margaret (Peggy) Gardiner.

She was the wife of Maurice, mother of Susan and Barbara and grandmother of Krista, late of Wood Lane, Lurgan.

Her funeral service was on Wednesday in Malcomson's Funeral Home.

Barry David Plumb

The death took place suddenly on February 28 of Barry David Plumb, son of Stephen and Eleanor (nee Toye), 27 Sperrin Drive, Lurgan.

He was the brother of Cheryl and Denise, partner of Louise and father of Dylan and Rihanna.

His funeral is today (Thursday) to St Peter's Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman's Cemetery.

Roseanna Toland

The death took place peacefully at home of Roseanna Toland (nee Mulholland), wife of the late Maurice, 64 Kilwilke Road, Lurgan.

She was the mother of Barry, Rory, Tony, Bronagh, Diane and the late Michael and Edel.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to St Peter’s Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.
