Jeannie, who was committed to the church, loved nothing more than watching members of her family play in the Moneyslane Flute Band.

She was also a keen gardener and stitcher and helped out on the family farm.

Jeannie was the wife of the late Albert Lyons Morrison of Eelwire Road Moneyslane, who died on November 4, 2012.

She put her faith in The Lord Jesus Christ in 1967 and was one of the founding members of Moneyslane Free Presbyterian Church.

Former minister of the Church, Dr John Douglas officiated the funeral and gave an inspiring address at the service in the very church that she was a foundation member. He recalled the times that he would visit her and her late husband.

She is survived by her son Bobby, daughter-in-law Arlene, grandchildren Susanne and William, brother David, sister Mrs. Martha Herron and sister-in-law Eva Dickson.

Her funeral took place last Tuesday from her home on the Eelwire Road for a service in Moneyslane Free Presbyterian Church. Some of the hymns that were sung included ‘In evil long I took delight’ and ‘When my life’s work is ended.’ Mr. Ian Wallace presided at the organ. Dr Douglas assisted Rev. W. McDermott who gave a challenging address. Interment took place in Ballyroney Presbyterian Churchyard.

Family flowers were placed on the grave and donations in lieu were sent to William Bell and Co. Funeral Directors, Kenlis Street, Banbridge, BT32 3LR for The Gospel Bus and Moneyslane Flute Band (cheques made payable to William Bell and Co.)

William Bell and Co. arranged the funeral.
