Service to remember former Lisburn woman

A thanksgiving service will be held later this month to remember local woman Pat Prescott (nee Malcolm) who recently passed away in Spain.

The service will be held in All Saints Parish Church, Eglantine, Hillsborough on Tuesday June 23 at 2pm.

Pat, who was born in 1942, passed away peacefully in VillaMartin on the Costa Blanca in Spain, where she had retired to in 2007 with her husband Norman.

Born in Lisburn, Pat was well known in the town, working for Colin Fair’s dental practice in Bridge Street.

She was the Leader of 1st Ballymacash Rainbow and Brownie Guides in St. Marks Parish, Ballymacash for over 25 years and continued to take Brownies when she moved from Lisburn to Jersey during the 1990s.

Pat also was involved with the Sea Cadets in Lisburn, and was one of the founding members of 31 Group Royal Observer Corps.

Pat will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Everyone is welcome to attend the service on June 23. A reception will be held in the church hall afterwards.
