Off-Licence robbed

A NUMBER of masked men, armed with pick-axe handles, robbed a Craigavon off-licence in March 1986.

Shortly after 1pm the men entered the Tullygally Tavern off-licence and forced the staff to hand over an undisclosed sum of money.

Before making off, one of the raiders struck a member of staff on the head with a pick-axe handle.

The member of staff was treated in hospital for head injuries, but they were not believed to be serious.
