Gillian took a break from painting while she devoted her time to her young daughters, but returned with a successful show in 2006.

In 2007 Gillian was commissioned by Cottage Publications to illustrate the acclaimed book, By The Banks of the Bann and its follow up book in 2008, My Lagan Love, A Portrait of the River Lagan.

Living near Rathfriland, her work is continually inspired by the landscape that surrounds her and clearly demonstrates her passion for the local countryside.

Gillian said her art can best be described as both instinctive and intuitive and her recent paintings have brought a new sensitivity to her work.

The exhibition is open to the public on Saturday 2nd and from Monday 4th to Saturday 9th April while www.gillianluttonart.com will be launched this week.
