Old vehicle club is established in Lisburn

THIRTY people have attended a public meeting in Lisburn to consider the possibility of forming a new club for old vehicle enthusiasts.

By the end of the evening it was agreed the new club would be called Lisburn City Old Vehicle Club to allow all those who own or are interested in any type of old vehicles to be catered for.

A steering group was established to get the club off the ground and the first general meeting and AGM will take place on Wednesday March 14 in the Cherry Room at Lagan Valley Island Centre at 8pm.

Everyone - male and female - interested in any make or model of old car, tractor, motorbike or commercial vehicle will be most welcome.

The steering group would like to thank the City Council for their generosity in providing the premises for the meetings to take place and Mr Frank McKee for chairing the public meeting and for agreeing to chair the first AGM.
