OLOL say thanks to Mr Lundy

Mr Gerry Lundy, Deputy Chief Executive for the Council for Catholic Maintained Schools has been recognised by Our Lady of Lourdes for his long and distinguished career in education.

Mr Lundy attended the Ballymoney school on Tuesday afternoon where he received a presentation on behalf of all the staff and Board of Governors of the school before he retires at the end of September.

Prior to working for Council for Catholic Maintained Schools, Mr Lundy spent over 20 years working in the Post-Primary sector, the Further Education sector and the Youth sector holding posts as a teacher of Modern Languages, Head of Department and Vice-Principal.

Mr J Donaghy on behalf of the Board of Governors wished Mr Lundy well in his retirement and thanked him for his tremendous support and advice to the school in his role as Deputy Chief Executive of Council for Catholic Maintained Schools.

Mr Lundy congratulated the staff on their excellent GCSE results achieved again in August 2016 and commended the school for consistently providing a high standard of education to all the pupils of the Ballymoney Borough.

He wished the school well for the future and stated he had no doubt that the school would continue to flourish and  grow from strength to strength.
