Olympic flame lights up Larne borough

THOUSANDS of people turned out to see the London 2012 Olympic flame being carried through Larne borough on Sunday.

From Glynn to Carnlough, the torchbearers were cheered on the East Antrim leg of the relay through the UK and Ireland.

Torch bearers locally included former British Lion and advocate for peace Trevor Ringland, and medal-winning Paralympian Diane McMillen.
