Hide AdThere were 225 complaints recorded in the Carrick area during one month alone compared to 98 in Larne and 122 in Ballymena.
However according to the survey, dog fouling is showing signs of improvement.
A council pilot scheme to encourage dog walkers to clean up after their pets has been proposed for Whitehead.
The scheme is expected to be implemented in association with a group of volunteers who will be able to provide a dog waste bag.
