One injured in seven car crash

A police spokesperson said the person’s injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

The road was closed for a number of hours in both directions at its junction with the Grove Road as emergency services attended the scene.

Shortly before 8am, a one-vehicle crash was reported on the Craigadoo Road and that route was also subsequently closed to traffic.

A warning was issued to Ballymena motorists by police of dangerous driving conditions due to black ice.
